Went for a late lunch with Mum. The guy working there was super, really friendly and really helpful as we purchased some pancakes to takeaway and he even gave a cup of cream when we left. My Cumberland Brioche was stunning and the Sriracha was sooo nice as a sauce. Mum had mushroom on sourdough. Both meals looked great and tasted better, but the best things were the people working there. Highly recommended. Oh, tea was the nicest cuppa I have had out for a long time . Only took a pic of the pancakes once home
LOVELY FOOD WITH A NICE STAFF MEMBER WE WENT TO FORNI GOT A LOVELY BREAKFAST (FOR THE FIRST TIME ) Had a lovely well cooked and presented English Breakfast. I must say we went to Emily's in Chapel Formby, The place was empty and the lady said sorry were fully booked. We just walked away and came to FORNI COFFEE - ever, so glad we came to this place and definitely will not return to Emily's in Formby.
Great place right next to the Freshfield station. Kiosk is good here is better. Ragnar approves.
A nice new spot by the station that unfortunately isn't great for coffee. The service was exceptionally friendly and welcoming, I couldn't say enough good things about that side of things. Unfortunately the staff haven't been trained on how to make coffee. I ordered a flat white, which the server made by combining espresso with boiling water, and then asking if I wanted milk. I confirmed again that he thought he was making a flat white, to which he nodded, seemingly under the impression that that's how you make a flat white. The steam wand on the machine was dirty and I'm pretty sure I was the first customer of the say, which also isn't a great sign. I suspect this place is more about food than coffee, which makes sense given there is incredible coffee available across the street. P.S. The new owners haven't declared this as a new business and have instead renamed the old listing, so I have deleted my previous review. Be mindful of this when looking at the other reviews.
I went for breakfast recently, 2nd time I've been and the food was lovely. I ordered the Smashed Avo with poached eggs and added some mushrooms on the side as they were so tasty. My husband ordered the full English and said the sausages were outstanding and the best sausages on a breakfast he's had, so much so we found the butcher and bought our own . The owner Sam is so friendly, lovely new addition to the area.
Amazing breakfast at Forni, they do the best breakfast in Formby! I normally get the eggs and avocado, they also do the best vegetarian fry up. My family usually get the classic fry up and always love the food. They've got loads of options for everyone, right by freshfield station. They're also dog friendly with options for snacks for the dogs
Lovely little spot! The gentleman working there was super friendly, warm, and welcoming—even though he was getting ready to close. He went out of his way to think of options for people with allergies or intolerances, which I really appreciated. While there weren’t many allergy-friendly items on the menu, he still managed to offer me some coffee cakes with jam—and I even got to choose between two types of jam! They also had plant-based milk options for coffee, which was a nice bonus. The café is small and cozy, located right next to the railway station, and it’s wheelchair accessible. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area—even if they haven’t expanded the allergy-friendly options yet!
Me and my boyfriend came for brunch and absolutely loved the food and the service!! I had nduja scrambled egg and my boyfriend had the breakfast wrap, both were delicious and good portions. We also had an iced matcha each which was really nice with vanilla!! Service was very friendly, welcoming and very quick. Will definitely be back soon!!
